This exercise is going to challenge your rear delts and upper back in a position of poor leverage using isometrics.
This is done using the same setup that I had posted recently using a couple of garage "hanger" magnets attached to a pair of dumbbells.
These are the magnets I'm using.
Essentially, you're going to hold the dumbbells right in front of you (magnets attached to each other) them try and pull them apart.

Since this is a challenge to separate them, you may need to use the heads of the dumbbells to pry the dumbbells apart and finish the pull.

Now, you could definitely do this type of training without the magnets by holding onto something that is one piece and solid in front of you... potentially a kettlebell handle even, like you're trying to rip apart the handle.
This would be a standard overcoming isometric (exerting force against an immoveable object).
The benefit of using the magnets here is that, as you're fighting to pull them apart, you can push the heads of the dumbbells together to pry them apart and get that short "burst" of activation on the upper back and rear delts.

Because you're standing up, there won't be direct resistance on that bit, but I found it helped with activation after a 5-7 second overcoming isometric.

Another excellent magnet exercise is done with isometric Lateral Raises.

Are you 40...50...60 or even 70+ years old and want to build muscle and strength like you did 20 years ago?
If you feel like you're fighting a losing battle, you're ready to discover the REAL secret to REVERSING muscle loss due to aging...
*** You need to train the body systems that SUPPORT your muscle mass, not just the muscle itself. ***
These underlying support systems diminish as you age, which is why you lose muscle as you get older no matter how hard you train... but with strategic training, these systems can be regenerated.
